Forklift Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to join our dedicated maintenance
team at Precision Material Handling, LLC. Your expertise will be essential in
diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of forklifts and material
handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, providing accurate assessments and effective solutions.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades.

    Required and Preferred Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or mechanical repair preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience as a forklift technician or similar role, with proven expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols related to forklift operation and maintenance.

    Preferred:

    • Certification from recognized forklift training programs.
    • Experience with various types of forklifts, including electric, propane, and diesel models.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

      Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

      • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
      • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance.
      • Experience with computer-based management systems for tracking work orders.
